2001-2002

Jerry Schweiger
Education: Jerry received his BS from University of Wisconsin, Superior in 1965; MS in Chemistry from University of Minnesota in 1968 and a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from University of Texas, Austin in 1972. Prior to starting with DuPont in 1973, Jerry was drafted by the Minneasota Vikings in 1965 and was a free agent with the Miami Dolphins in 1966. Jerry has been with DuPont for 31 years and was involved with Research, Sales and Marketing for various market segments (Sales Mgr. for HF and HCI). During the past five years Jerry has been the Southern Regional Sales Manager with the Fluoroproducts SBU, specializing in HFC Clean Agents (FE-227, FE-25 and FE-36) for the Suppression and Portable market segments. Jerry lives in Spring, Texas with his wife, Peggy who is a Physics High School Teacher and has a son, Jerry and daughter, Tina who have their own businesses in Houston and Austin respectively. Currently, Jerry is retired from DuPont and does some consulting work with his son, Jerry, for his company WCI Consulting, Inc.


2000-2001

Donna Fujimoto Cole
Donna Fujimoto Cole is President/CEO and owner of Cole Chemical & Distributing, Inc., a Houston, Texas based company she started 20 years ago. Cole well knows the challenges of starting a business from scratch in a male dominated industry. Cole Chemical was launched in 1980. Since then, she has never looked back and has taken Cole Chemical through methodical and successful growth with sales in excess of $30 million per year. The company is ranked in the top 100 chemical distributors in the country by Chemical Purchasing Magazine. Along the way, Cole has served on various civic, community and national committees, officers and boards of the Houston Chemical Association, Houston Business Council, National Minority Supplier Development Council and Board of Overseer at the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. She also serves on Task Force 2000 as a founding member. In addition, she has been awarded the SBA Minority Advocate of the Year Award, the Houston Woman of the Year Award and recognized as one of the country's Top 500 women business owners.


1999-2000

Thomas Capo - Passed 5/13/2010
Thomas W. Capo, Vice-President of the Chemical Division of Tarquin Corporation has 40 years in domestic/international sales and management in the petrochemical industry. Tom has worked with major corporations, i.e., Allied Chemical Corporation, Koch Industries and Stinnes Oil & Chemical. He has a BS degree in chemistry from Tulane University, was a member of the Tulane faculty and Sigma Gamma Epsilon. He and his wife Charlotte are proud grandparents of six.

Elton Dornbusch
Elton Dornbusch graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&I University with a major in chemistry and a minor in math. Elton worked for Dow Chemical in Freeport until 1962, when he moved to Houston. He worked for several manufacturers, first as a chemist, later in sales and marketing. He is founder of Expo Chemical Co., Inc. which was incorporated in 1975. Elton has been a member of HCA since 1967 and rarely misses a meeting. He is married to Laura and they are proud grandparents of five of the most wonderful and beautiful granchildren.
